Have your kids wanted Burger King Kids Meals more after seeing the Spongebob/Sir Mix a-Lot commercial?
BK argued that they have the commercials played during more adult programming, when faced with the allegation that it was inappropriate for young kids. The problem is, the commercial is selling kids meals so I'm curious if kids are seeing this commercial and if it's actually working on them or if it's directed toward adults some how... to have them buy the meals for their kids with them being only 99cents however they contain very little food, I would guess anyone above 12 couldn't sustain themselves on the meal. Am I wrong?
I am only 23 years old. I do not have children. I think that commercial is inappropriate!! I almost died the first time I saw it! I can not say that that it is or is not aired more during adult tv time. However, in my personal opinion I cannot see how it is aired more unless it is because it is played multiple times during each commercial break. My mother and I were recently discussing this issue. I had asked her if she had seen the commercial she had not. One evening while visiting the commercial came on and she told me that she had seen it for the first time earlier that day and it shocked her ( I guess she thought I exaggerated when I told her about it) During that one commercial break it was played THREE times twice back to back. I am sick of it. I was disgusted when I first saw it and heard him say at the end "Booties booty" I would never let my children see it. I would never let my nieces and nephews see it. They have seen it and they do want the toys. I believe they are trying lure children with it. Its like Joe the Camel. I thought the commercial to be very mature then was shocked to see it advertising the kids meal. I would understand even having a song and dance for the kids meal commercial however I do not believe the dancers could be shaking and suggestive in the manner that they are. Personally, I am surprised that this is not more of an issue. Why are more people not concerned?! Also, do they say dam* or dang?
