Health and slim with green tea
Green tea has been enjoyed for centuries in Chinese tea ceremonies. It was long thought to relieve pain head and body aches, increase energy, prevent disease and improve digestion.
Although many tests were successful and others are still ongoing, some health claims by proponents of green tea are:

Increased ability to survive after a heart attack
Antioxidants fight free radicals
Anti-cavity
A higher metabolism, more calories burned
Cancer Prevention
Reducing cholesterol
Blood detoxification
support liver function
maintenance of bone density
Reduce inflammation
In prevention of Alzheimer's disease and treatment
Reduced risk of diabetes and heart disease
Green tea contains polyphenols called catechins group. The most studied compound is effective and epigallocatechin gallate, commonly known as EGCG. A growing number of published scientific studies suggested that protects against cancer and heart disease and help control weight. It is used as an aid to fat loss used in some dietary supplements.
Side effects of green tea are infrequent and mild. They are mainly due to caffeine content, the eighth century Buddhist monks discovered helped keep awake during long meditation sessions. In fact, green tea has enough caffeine to give you a lift, but not enough to cause nervous tremors. It would take four cups to equal the amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee. There are 8 to 20 mg. of caffeine in green tea, compared with 40-60 mg. in black tea and 90-150 mg. in coffee. The best known effects of caffeine include increased intellectual activity, improving reading speed, more energy, increased heart rate, alertness, reaction times faster and a better mood. Too much caffeine, down, can cause insomnia, headaches, irritability and muscle tension.
Due to the caffeine content, there are possible interactions. If you are taking prescription codeine ingredients, ephedrine, psedoephrine, theophylline, atropine, aminophylline, warfarin, you should consult your doctor and pharmacist before taking green tea products.
Green tea is available in tea bags, flyers, prebrewed and bottled. It is available in varieties containing caffeine and decaffeinated. There is also a product called matcha, which is tea leaf powder are simply mixed with hot water. If you're not a fan of the taste, can also be found in tea and fruit juice mix soft drinks, tablets, extracts, nutritional bars and liquor.
Green tea contains no calories. Just replace caloric beverages, especially soft drinks, will help reduce your overall caloric intake and help you feel more energetic and comprehensive. Although no one knows exactly how the active ingredient, EGCG, it is necessary, most researchers agree that to plant fruits, only three to four cups a day is all that is needed.
