Weight Watchers Flex Points?
when I was a member of Weight Watchers there was no such thing as "Flex Points". Now that I'm aware of them I'm wondering why they didn't just add these points into our daily allowable points in the first place. Did they just find some extra calories and fat that we could consume without gaining weight? I certainly don't get it.
I did loose weight when I was on the program before. I'm going to do the program again and would certainly like to use the flex points but afraid that I won't loose weight as quickly.
Any experience out there? And what do you think of the additional points that weren't there from the beginning? At least I assume they weren't because I was never told about them.
I am on WW and use Flex Points. Your flex points are your daily points. It is based on your age, weight, height, gender, and activity level. My daily points (or flex points) is 23. You also have 35 allowance points each week. I have a hard time eating all my flex points so far and have never broken into my allowance points.
The allowance points do not have to be used. They are just 35 extra points that you can use each week encase you have a bad day or something special planned. If you eat all those points every week then you will more then likely not reach your weight loss goal.
You also get to add to your points when you exercise according to the length and level of your exercise.
Just because there is a lot of extra points around you does not mean that you have to eat them all. You need to eat close to your flex points everyday and its ok if you go over a little into your allowance points because thats why they are there...but I honestly try to forget they are there so that I do not start relying on them.
