What exactly is Bikram Yoga and what are its benefits (in comparison to the other yogas)?

bikram yoga is a 26 posture series which is performed in a very hot room - should be at 40 degrees centigrade (104F).
it is less strenuous than say ashtanga, but the heat makes it very intense. it is apparently very good for weight loss bringing very quick results. tennis player andy murray swears by it.

you basically do the same postures every time. the heat means that you are more flexible and can work deeper. you obviously sweat a lot releasing toxins
