Virtual Villagers 2 - SUPER URGENT QUESTION!?!?

Okay so on Virtual Villagers 2 I am out of coconuts and the ocean has algae, but I don't have enough tech points to buy the last level of farming. I have one and two. How can I keep my villagers alive with no coconuts of fish?!! P.S. If I have to buy tech stuff how much do I need? The only thing I have more levels of is farming - level 2. HELP BEFORE THEY ALL DIE!!

you have to build a dam, at the bottom right of screen where the river ends bring one of your villagers there and you should be able to get them to start building a dam if there are enough tech points for that particular object. after its built youl have a garden. then make sure you build a scarecrow so the birds dont eat the veggies. you build a scarecrow by putting a villager near the twigs up at the top of the screen to the right of the cave. but you must have enough tech points to do certain things. in the meantime if they are starving have the kids collect as many mushrooms as they can, especially red ones they are worth 50 food points. you can also clean up the algae by getting the algae eating fish out of the pond and you villagers will put them in the ocean on their own, but they have to put alot. again, you have to use your tech points for farming to to some of these things.
