You can keep your food diary on a laptop or palm pilot, or slip a notebook into your bag during the day-whatever works best for your lifestyle.
You may wish to point out in your diary certain weight loss goals or when you gain weight in order to identify causes that were unnoticed. For instance, stress during the day at work may have accounted for a craving for desert at lunch or after dinner. You can show your diary to your trainer to make sure that you are staying on track with your weight loss plan.
